St. Joseph’s Hospital Opens New Emergency Department

The department is part of a $21.6 million, 18-month project.

St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Ga., is opening its newly expanded Emergency Department Monday, January 23.

In Februrary 2016, St. Joseph’s Hospital began an 18-month, $21.6 million construction project, which includes a 17,000-square-foot expansion and a 13,000-square-foot renovation. The Emergency Department was expanded by 14,815 feet. The full renovation is expected to be completed in six months.

In addition to an expanded Emergency Department, St. Joseph’s Hospital has planned for a new atrium, new waiting areas, a new access road, expanded parking, a new lobby space, and larger and more treatment rooms.
