Stanford Hospital Undergoes $1.2B Renovation Project In California
Stanford Health Care’s (Palo Alto, Calif.) Stanford Hospital is undergoing a six-year renovation and rebuilding project in Palo Alto to add new modernization and California seismic-safety standards.
The facility will remain open for patient care during the $1.2 billion project.
Project plans include a dedicated cancer center; two new four-story building extensions with 58 private patient rooms; 21 renovated operating and procedure rooms; a redesigned pediatric emergency department; 36 additional pre- and post-surgery bays; a 30-bed inpatient psychiatric unit; and redesigned first-floor atrium to include family spaces and amenities.
