Sutter Health Begins Construction On $442M Neuroscience Complex In San Francisco

The 5-story facility will include neurology, neurosurgery, imaging, lab, infusion, and rehabilitation services, as well as an ambulatory surgery center.

Sutter Health (Sacramento, Calif.) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on Sutter Advanced Neuroscience Complex at Mission Bernal, a new $442 million neuroscience complex in San Francisco, according to a news release.

The 5-story, 129,000-square-foot facility will house services including neurology, neurosurgery, imaging, lab, infusion, rehabilitation, and an ambulatory surgery center.

The Ray Dolby Brain Health Center (San Franscisco) and Forbes Norris MDA/ALS Research and Treatment Center (San Francisco) will relocate to the new facility when it opens, expected in 2028.
