Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Breaks Ground For Expansion
The Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Rockwall, Texas, broke ground earlier this month on a long-planned expansion. According to a report in the Rockwall Herald Banner, the expansion means that the size of the hospital will effectively double, adding two floors to the patient tower and expansion of women’s services, labor and delivery, and the addition of a Level 2 NICU.
Reporter Ryan Scott writes: “…the expansion, which comes at a cost of $91 million, will allow the hospital the opportunity to provide care for not only our existing patients but also future patients…The hospital received approval from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services to expand, and the project was officially announced in February of this year. According to a hospital press release at the time, the expansion is expected to take three years, starting with the addition of 210 new parking spots.”
