Trinity Health Ann Arbor Plans $60.5M ED Expansion In Michigan

Trinity Health Ann Arbor in Ann Arbor, Mich., is planning a $60.5 million renovation and expansion of its emergency department (ED), according to a news release.

The project will be completed in multiple phases over three years and comprise a 13,100-square-foot addition and the renovation of 44,600 square feet of existing space.

Key goals of the project include increasing the number of private rooms and stretcher bays to address overcrowding issues, enhancing the patient and family experience with improved spaces for gathering, adding new support spaces for staff to promote more efficient workflow, and equipping the new ED with advanced technology, according to the news release.

The hospital will remain fully operational during construction, which is expected to be completed in late 2028.
