Two COVID-19 Field Hospitals Open In Rhode Island

The alternate care sites together will provide 900 beds for non-critically ill patients.

Two field hospitals have opened in Rhode Island to address the state’s rising COVID-19 hospitalizations, according to an article in the Telegraph.

Care New England (Providence, R.I.) opened 300-bed field hospital in Cranston, R.I. In addition, a 600-bed facility, run by hospital group Lifespan (Providence), opened at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence.

Both field hospitals will house patients who are not critically ill.
