Two Hospitals In California Reveal COVID-19 Surge Plans
As part of a COVID-19 surge plan, Memorial Hospital (Bakersfield, Calif.) has set up a temporary modular building in the parking lot outside the ED to house non-COVID-19 patients with lower-intensity health issues, according to an article in Bakersfield.com.
The temporary facility features a waiting room, registration room, two triage rooms, 10 exam rooms with their own dual AC/heating unit, a room for lab draws, and an X-ray room.
Another California facility, Adventist Health Bakersfield (Bakersfield) has prepared two heated tents outside its ED for patients experiencing respiratory symptoms.
