UC Davis Health Completes 48X Complex For Outpatient Surgery In Sacramento, California

The 4-story facility houses 14 ORs, four interventional radiology rooms, 96 clinical exam rooms, 19 treatment rooms, pharmacy, imaging, and physical therapy.

UC Davis Health (Sacramento, Calif.) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of construction on its 48X Complex, a 4-story outpatient surgery center in Sacramento, according to a news release from SmithGroup (San Francisco), the design firm on the project.

The 268,228-square-foot facility houses 14 operating rooms (ORs), including a hybrid OR and multiple robotic ORs, as well as four interventional radiology rooms. The center also includes 96 clinical exam rooms, 59 pre- and post-operative recovery bays, 14 private 23-hour recovery rooms, 19 treatment rooms, pharmacy, imaging, and physical therapy.

In addition to SmithGroup, the project team includes DPR Construction (San Diego) as the builder.
