UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland Opens New Outpatient Center
UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland recently opened its new outpatient center in Oakland, Calif., to patients.
Designed in partnership by HDR and Taylor Design, the new six-story facility adds 89,000 square feet of exam rooms, treatment facilities, and family support services to the hospital’s existing outpatient center and houses advanced technologies and clinical space for specialties including orthopedics, physical rehabilitation, ENT/OHNS, pulmonology, dermatology, cardiology, outpatient surgery, neurology, and neurosurgery.
A specially designed outdoor area off the main gym of the rehabilitation clinic provides an opportunity for patients to practice and master physical challenges in a real-life setting of stairs and inclines.
UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland Outpatient Center is designed as a LEED for Healthcare Silver facility.
