UCSF Health Selects Project Team For New Benioff Children’s Hospital In Oakland, California

Rudolph and Sletten is awarded a $960 million design-build contract for the replacement project which includes an 8-story hospital and parking garage with heliport.

University of California, San Francisco Health (USCF Health; San Francisco) has selected Rudolph and Sletten (general contractor; Menlo Park, Calif.), a subsidiary of construction firm Tutor Perini Corporation (Sylmar, Calif.), to lead the project team on a replacement UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, Calif., according to a news release.

The construction firm was awarded a $960 million design-build contract for the replacement project which includes an 8-story hospital and parking garage with heliport.

The new hospital will house seven above-grade levels and one full basement level. Construction is expected to start this fall with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.
