UHealth To Develop New Academic Medical Center

The 225,000-square-foot facility will be part of a 184-acre, $4 billion mixed-use development in North Miami.

The University of Miami Health System has unveiled plans to develop will a new academic medical center at SoLé Mia, a planned 184-acre, $4 billion mixed-use development in North Miami.

The medical center will offer academic medicine in specialties dealing with cancer treatments from Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center; Bascom Palmer Eye Institute; ambulatory care; cardiology; neurology; otolaryngology; urology; and orthopedics as well as other specialties.

Built on a nearly 10-acre site, the new UHealth Medical Center at SoLé Mia will have 225,000 square feet of space, with an additional 100,000 square feet available for future expansion. It will feature an adjoining parking garage, open green space, and more.
