UMass Memorial Medical Center Upgrades Facility Public Spaces

The remodeling work is part of a seven-year, $172 million redesign and improvement project to modernize the medical center’s Memorial and University campuses.

UMass Memorial Medical Center recently completed upgrades to major public spaces at the Memorial Campus in Worcester, Mass., including the new atrium in the Pathway, the main pedestrian artery that connects all major departments and spaces on the two public levels of the medical center.

This phase of the renovation, part of a multiphase MC2020 Modernization project, provides upgrades to both interior finishes and spaces including corridors, department entries, wayfinding graphics, and the chapel in the West and South wing of the center.

The project team inlcuded The S/L/A/M Collaborative (architect) and Consigli Construction Co. Inc. (general contractor).
