UNC Health (Chapel Hill, N.C.) has started construction on a new 48-acre medical campus in Cary, N.C., which will include a hospital and medical office building (MOB), according to a news release.
Expected to open in summer 2028, the 6-story, 192,000-square-foot MOB will provide services such as cancer care, rheumatology, heart and vascular treatment, urology, obstetrics, gynecology, dermatology, and orthopedics. The MOB will house a lab, pharmacy, and imaging department and feature a 900-space parking deck.
The community hospital will house 152 acute inpatient beds. Construction is expected to start in 2028, with the facility opening in 2032.
