UNC Health (Chapel Hill, N.C.), North Carolina’s largest academic health system, marked the completion of a 7-story, 375,000-square-foot addition to its campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in April.

The new North Carolina Surgical Hospital was in construction for nearly five years and features 26 advanced surgical suites, including four hybrid operating rooms (ORs), and 80 patient rooms. The project is the largest addition to the Chapel Hill campus since it was built in 1952, according to a news release.
