Universal Health Services (UHS) in King Prussia, Pa., is planning to build a new hospital with an outpatient ambulatory center and two new urgent care centers in Washington, D.C., according to an article in Becker’s Hospital Review.

The 136-bed facility will replace the United Medical Center, which will be shut down in phases once the new hospital is built. The new facility will be part of a larger system that links to George Washington University Hospital, of which UHS is the majority owner.
