Updates Planned For Penn Highlands Behavioral Health Hospital

Penn Highlands Healthcare (DuBois, Pa.) is planning to update the behavioral health hospital at Penn Highlands DuBois in DuBois.

The project will include the addition of a psychiatric urgent care center for children and adolescents, an eight-bed high-acuity unit for patients requiring specialized care before being transitioned to the regular adult unit, and an expanded sub-acute unit for at-risk children and adolescents. The project will expand the adult inpatient unit by 14 beds.

The project is expected to be completed in 2022.
