Upgrades And Additions Planned For Harborview Medical Center In Washington

A $952 million tower and $79 million behavioral health center are included in the plans.

Harborview Medical Center (Seattle), which is run by UW Medicine (Seattle), is planning to upgrade and expand, according to an article in the Seattle Times.

The project calls for a $952 million tower with private patient rooms and a new emergency department, seismic upgrades, renovations to clinics and offices, and a $79 million behavioral health center.

One hundred fifty respite beds also will be added for homeless people to recover after hospitalization.
