UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Opens Mario Lemieux Immunotherapy Center and Pietrandrea Clinic In Shadyside, Pennsylvania

The two new spaces on the hospital’s renovated second floor include 35 exam rooms, 15 treatment rooms with beds, and 27 treatment chairs.

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Hillman Cancer Center in Shadyside, Pa., held a dedication ceremony to mark the official opening of the Mario Lemieux Immunotherapy Center and the Pietrandrea Clinic on the hospital’s second floor, according to Pittwire.

The new immunotherapy center houses treatment options for certain solid tumors and includes space for patients to meet with their oncology team for treatment updates, test results, and personalized care planning.

The two spaces include 35 exam rooms, 15 treatment rooms with beds (including five with private bathrooms), and 27 treatment chairs, nine of which are private.
