The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA; Washington, D.C.) and developer U.S. Federal Properties (Kansas City, Mo.) have selected the project team for the new VA Jacksonville Multispecialty Outpatient Clinic in Jacksonville, N.C., according to a news release.
The project will consolidate four smaller VA clinics into a 3-story, 247,700-square-foot facility. The new clinic will offer primary and specialty care, including cardiology, orthopedics, dermatology, and pulmonary care, as well as mental health, women’s health, imaging and diagnostics, and rehabilitation and support services.
Hoefer Welker (Kansas City, Mo.) has been selected to lead the project design and development. The project team also includes Meyer Najem Construction (general contractor; Fishers, Ind.), Smith & Boucher (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineer; Olathe, Kan.), Bob D. Campbell & Co. (structural engineer; Kansas City, Mo.), and BHC (civil engineer; Kansas City, Mo.).
The new facility is expected to open in fall 2028.
