The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (Austin, Texas) reached a construction milestone on the new Wichita Falls State Hospital, according to a news release.
The final vertical steel support beam was placed in a topping-out ceremony for the $452 million project, which is expected to be completed in late 2027.
The project replaces a 100-year-old campus and comprises 225 beds for adult and pediatric psychiatric care across a 411,505-square-foot facility.
