The project team has been selected for Phase 1 of a redevelopment of Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH; Windsor, Ontario, Canada) as Fancsy Family Hospital, according to renewcanada.net.
The project team will include Diamond Schmitt Architects (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), leading the planning and design for the works phase, and contractor EllisDon (London, Ontario, Canada) as the construction manager.
The first phase will include the construction of essential site support infrastructure for the new hospital, as well as an administration center with auditorium, simulation training center, classrooms, and office space for support staff. A multilevel parking garage is also part of the project and will connect to the new hospital.
Construction is expected to start by early 2026, with the first phase to be completed in approximately three years.
