WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center Begins Construction On New Patient Tower In Martinsburg, West Virginia

The new, $260 million tower will house 135 private patient rooms and connect to the main hospital via a new pedestrian bridge.

West Virginia University (WVU) Medicine Berkeley Medical Center (Martinsburg, W.Va.) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on a new patient tower in Martinsburg, according to The Journal.

The $260 million project will add 135 private patient rooms and include a pedestrian bridge connecting to the main hospital building.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2028.
