EstudioFisio Goya, Madrid, Spain
Located in the Goya neighborhood of Madrid, Spain, EstudioFisio Goya is a private physiotherapy clinic that focuses on orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, pelvic health, lymphatic conditions, manual therapy, and exercise-based rehabilitation.
Opened in March, the project converted a 1,345-square-foot 1990s office space into a new clinic environment.
The project marks EstudioFisio’s third Madrid location and the third design collaboration between EstudioFisio and interior design firm Design Blob (Madrid).
Adaptive reuse and daylighting strategies for healthcare clinics
The project team approached the interiors as an active component of the therapeutic process rather than a neutral backdrop.
Seven street-facing balconies serve as the primary organizational axis, with treatment and Pilates spaces positioned along the building’s perimeter to maximize access to natural light.
Additionally, the materials palette incorporates organic materials such as wood and rattan to support patients’ well-being. Residential-inspired furnishings create a home-like setting, while adjustable, layered lighting is designed to help reduce anxiety.
