Velour Medical Flagship, New York

Located in Midtown Manhattan, N.Y., the Velour Medical flagship offers a fresh perspective on an aesthetic medicine clinic. Designed by Spiezle Architectural Group Inc. (Hamilton, N.J.), the 12,000-square-foot facility provides an inviting, luxurious environment that combines cutting-edge treatments with the aesthetic refinement of high-end design.

Situated on the 13th floor of a 17-story building, Velour provides a range of advanced aesthetic services, including neurotoxin injections, hyaluronic acid fillers, platelet-rich plasma injections, and medical-grade chemical peels. The flagship is a reflection of the brand’s dedication to enhancing natural beauty through personalized treatment plans, while offering a space designed for comfort and confidence.

An Art Deco-infused atmosphere

Inside the flagship, the design ethos centers on modern elegance with a nod to Art Deco influences. Stepping off the elevator, guests are welcomed into the reception area featuring a sleek, black-velour-clad wall. The layout encourages intuitive navigation, directing clients to either side of the reception space while maintaining a cohesive sense of flow.

The reception area invites guests to relax in curved sofas paired with stone tables, set against a backdrop of rich orange seating that adds warmth and contrast. Throughout the flagship, an emphasis on curvilinear forms, bespoke furniture, and soft lighting sets a tone of indulgence and exclusivity. For example, illuminated arches frame the main corridor, leading visitors to the facility’s 14 glass-front treatment suites.

Architectural highlights and functional spaces

The project team sought to balance style and functionality throughout. Lush lounges provide both communal spaces and private retreats, while a fully operational bar imbues the setting with a contemporary, concierge feel. Enhancing the gallery-like atmosphere, curated artwork and sculptures are placed strategically throughout, blending beauty with utility to elevate the overall patient experience.

Treatment rooms are naturally lit but also equipped with modern artificial lighting, ensuring precision for medical procedures while maintaining visual comfort for clients. The layout maximizes privacy and efficiency without sacrificing aesthetic appeal.

Toward the rear of the space, a dedicated provider suite includes offices, a lounge with a fully equipped kitchen, and a training room for ongoing professional education. These back-of-house areas emphasize functionality and convenience while blending seamlessly with the luxurious front-of-house offerings.
