Provider Health First (Rockledge, Fla.) announced in a news release that construction is moving forward on the new Cape Canaveral Hospital in Merritt Island, Fla.
According to the release, the foundation has been laid and walls are going up for the 5-story replacement hospital, which will house 120 beds, 25 emergency department (ED) treatment rooms, and six operating rooms (ORs).
The project also includes a 3-story medical office building (MOB) and a 4-story parking garage.
The 268,000-square-foot medical campus is on track to be completed by the end of 2026 and open to patients in early 2027.
