Oklahoma State University Medical Center (Tulsa, Okla.) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on a $175 million expansion in Tulsa, according to a news release from Dewberry (Fairfax, Va.), which is providing full architectural design services on the project.
The 180,000-square-foot wing will house surgical and pharmaceutical research, eight operating rooms (ORs), three procedure rooms, a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), pre- and post-operative care unit, and chapel.
The project also will connect to the James Mountain Inhoff Veterans Medical Center, which is under construction and scheduled to open in early 2026, via a 350-foot-long pedestrian sky bridge.
