Kelly Vision, New York

Kelly Vision was conceived of as a high-end, luxury experience in New York with a design that pays tribute to the artistry and precision of the human eye.

The ophthalmology practice specializes in refractive surgery and vision correction procedures on-site, including LASIK, custom laser, cataract, pterygium, and eye brightening, in addition to routine exams and cosmetic procedures.

Patient-centered eye care

Opened in January, the new 4,000-square-foot clinic is designed to elevate and optimize the patient experience and comprises a lobby, separate waiting areas near the exam rooms and the operating room, procedure  and exam room spaces, and a post-op lounge area.

The project team, including architecture firm Daniel Goldner Architects (New York) and interior design firms Chris Stern Creative (New York) and S-O-S Furnishings (New York), set out to deliver a modern aesthetic throughout the space, such as modern furniture in the waiting room, sourced locally and from Europe, as well as hand-crafted logos with backlit lighting.

Inspired by modern New York City architecture, the clinic features a slated wooden backsplash in the lobby the mimics the sleek, structured lines of New York City skyscrapers. Furthermore, rich pops of color including a mustard yellow-colored couch in the lobby and the red chairs in the eye test space are a nod to the city’s Art Deco styling.
