Renovation Reaches Milestone At Muma Children’s Hospital In Tampa, Florida

The second phase of the project was completed, including updated patient rooms and waiting areas, and refreshed nurses’ stations and lounges, gyms, and playroom.

Muma Children’s Hospital (Tampa, Fla.), part of Tampa General Hospital, completed the second phase of a three-phase renovation, according to a news release from Creative Contractors, the builder on the project.

The $11 million second phase includes updated patient and waiting rooms, renovated nurses’ stations and lounges, remodeled physical and occupational therapy gyms, new collaborative care team spaces, a refreshed children’s playroom, and advanced technology integration.

The final phase of construction is expected to be completed by spring 2026 and will include renovations to the pediatric dialysis unit and day hospital spaces.
