Nationwide Children’s Hospital Moves Forward On Plans For Outpatient Center In New Albany, Ohio

The 170,000-square-foot Close to Home Center will house urgent care, lab, radiology, and physical therapy services

Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio) is planning to build a new Close to Home Center outpatient facility in New Albany, Ohio, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

The project, which received approval from the New Albany Planning Commission, will consist of a 4-story, 170,000-square-foot outpatient tower housing urgent care, lab, radiology, and physical therapy services.

Situated on 25 acres, the project will include a 16,000-square-foot central utility plant, 496-space parking lot, and nearly 9 acres of parkland and open space. A landscaped central green will house pedestrian walkways, outdoor seating, and gardens.

DLR Group (Columbus, Ohio) is the project architect. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
