Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Ga., has added the Crisp Regional Surgery Center behind the main hospital, according to walb.com.
The new facility replaces an existing surgery department that shared registration and waiting spaces with outpatient services, according to a news release from the hospital.
In addition to housing a dedicated entrance, registration area, and waiting room, the new surgery center features operating rooms (ORs) that are nearly double the size of the previous ORs and equipped with advanced robotic-assisted technology for orthopedic, general, urology, and gynecological surgeries.
The addition also includes an expanded sterile processing department and new on-call sleep rooms to support staff readiness and wellness.
