Sutter Health (Sacramento, Calif.) plans to build a new flagship medical center in Santa Clara, Calif., according to kqed.com.
Part of a $2.8 billion campus, the medical center project comprises an 8-story hospital tower built on the site of an existing office park.
The facility will house 272 private patient rooms, a full-service emergency department (ED), intensive care units (ICUs), advanced operating rooms (ORs), and a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
The project is expected to be completed in late 2031.
