Children’s Mercy Plans New Pediatric Hospital In Springfield, Missouri

The 400,000-square-foot project, expected to be completed in 2026, is a partnership with Mercy Springfield Communities.

Children’s Mercy (Kansas City, Mo.) plans to build a pediatric hospital in Springfield, Mo., according to a news release.

The provider is partnering with nonprofit housing and supportive services organization Mercy Springfield Communities (Springfield, Mo.) on the project, which comprises a 2-story facility that spans 40,000 square feet.

The new children’s hospital will house Mercy Primary Pediatrics and Children’s Mercy pediatric specialty care.

Services will include inpatient care, a pediatric intensive care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric surgery, emergency department, and pediatric physical and occupational therapy.
