Grand Strand Health Breaks Ground On South Strand Hospital In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Grand Strand Health (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on South Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach, S.C., according to wmbfnews.com.

The $220 million community hospital is part of Grand Strand Health’s $350 million community hospital extension plan that will also include three freestanding emergency departments (EDs).

Located across from South Strand Medical Center (Myrtle Beach), the new hospital will offer inpatient, surgical, and diagnostic care with 59 inpatient beds, four operating rooms (ORs), and an emergency department (ED).

The project is expected to be completed in late 2027.
