Dana Farber Cancer Institute (Boston) and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC; Boston) are moving forward with plans for a new adult inpatient cancer hospital in Boston, according to a news release.
The former Joslin Diabetes Center, relocated to BIDMC’s East Campus, was demolished to make way for the project.
The new hospital will total 450,000 square feet, with 300 beds across 10 inpatient floors. It is expected to open in 2031.
