Hospiten To Build Hospital In Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

The $80 million project will comprise 68 hospital rooms and target multiple sustainability certifications.

Healthcare provider Hospiten (Canary Islands, Spain) is planning a new hospital in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, according to a news release.

Hospiten Punta Cana will house 68 patient rooms, 23 consulting rooms, 16 emergency department (ED) bays, eight intensive care unit (ICU) beds, and a surgical suite with three operating rooms (ORs), including a hybrid OR with advanced imaging.

The $80 million project will total more than 118,400 square feet and target LEED Zero, Well Platinum, and Net Zero certifications.
