El Camino Health Proposes $1 Billion All-electric Hospital In Los Gatos, California

El Camino Health (Mountain View, Calif.) is proposing a $1 billion all-electric hospital in Los Gatos, Calif., according to siliconvalley.com.

Plans call for a new 344,000-square-foot medical center to replace the existing El Camino Health Los Gatos Hospital, which opened in 1962.

Anticipated programming includes 122 private patient rooms, 12 operating rooms (ORs), a 25-bay emergency department (ED), Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), enhanced heart and vascular program, and expanded surgical services.

HOK (Los Angeles) is the architect on the project.

If approved by the city government, the project is expected to be completed in 2032.
