The campus is adding four floors to an existing patient tower, while renovating existing departments to expand the NICU and add 71 patient rooms.

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas, has announced plans for an expansion of its campus, according to fortworthinc.com.

Construction is expected to begin this year to add four floors to an existing patient tower. Two floors will house the new Jane and John Justin Center for Women & Infants, which includes a labor and delivery unit, nursery, operating rooms, and obstetrics emergency department (ED) with a dedicated entrance. The other two levels will remain shell space for future needs.

The vertical tower expansion is expected to be completed in 2029.

Additionally, two existing floors in the tower are under construction to expand the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and add 71 patient rooms, including a new surgical trauma progressive care unit for patients recovering from traumatic injuries or surgery. The renovated floors are expected to open later this year.
