Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland) has started construction on a $322 million expansion of Avon Hospital in Avon, Ohio, according to spectrum1news.com.
The project adds 250,000 square feet to the hospital and increases access to patient services. Plans call for a larger emergency department (ED) with imaging and diagnostic capabilities, an expanded intensive care unit (ICU), increased surgical services, and an addition to the existing cancer center with infusion space.
Also on the Avon campus, the Richard E. Jacobs Health Center is undergoing an expansion to build a new parking garage and increase outpatient services.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2029.
