HMC Architects (Los Angeles) is expanding its healthcare practice in the Pacific Northwest with two new hires in Portland, Ore., according to a news release.
Justin Brooks joins the Portland studio as principal-in-charge, and Teresa Kruse joins as project architect.
Brooks brings more than 20 years of experience designing healthcare environments, including Legacy Health Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland and the UCSF Nancy Friend Pritzker Psychiatry Building in San Franciso.
Kruse has 28 years of experience leading projects for hospitals, clinics, behavioral health facilities, emergency departments, pharmacies, imaging suites, and other complex healthcare environments. Her portfolio includes designs for Legacy Silverton Medical Center in Silverton, Ore., and Snoqualmie Valley Hospital in Snoqualmie, Wash.
Both are expected to help HMC pursue a broader range of healthcare projects and grow the regional design team.
