Allina Health Completes Construction On Richard M. Schulze Surgical And Critical Care Center In Minneapolis

Allina Health (Minneapolis) has completed construction on a 10-story addition to Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, according to a news release.

The 620,000-square-foot Richard M. Schulze Surgical and Critical Care Center houses 190 inpatient rooms and 30 operating rooms.

The project also renovates approximately 200,000 square feet within the existing Abbott Northwestern Hospital to integrate the new building, including a new consolidated front entrance.

Design firm HGA (Minneapolis) is the architect on the project, with Mortenson (Minneapolis) serving as general contractor and construction manager.
