The Louisville Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Louisville, Ky., is now expected to open in 2027, a year later than previously planned, according to the Courier Journal.
Construction on the new hospital began in late 2021. At the project’s three-year mark, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Louisville) announced that it was more than halfway complete.
The $970 million campus includes a 910,115-square-foot medical center with 104 beds, a 42,205-square-foot central utility plant, and parking structures.
The project design is a joint venture between SmithGroup (Detroit) and AECOM (Dallas).
