Renovations In Store For Venice Regional Bayfront Health In Florida

Plans include converting inpatient rooms into private patient rooms and updating the ED.

Venice Regional Bayfront Health (Venice, Fla.) and parent company Community Health Systems Inc. (Franklin, Tenn.) are forgoing plans to build a 210-bed replacement hospital and instead are opting to renovate its existing campus in Venice, according to an article in the Herald-Tribune.

Plans call for converting all inpatient rooms into private patient rooms and creating a comprehensive surgical unit on the north wing of the hospital’s second floor to increase inpatient and outpatient surgical capacity. The emergency department, lobby, and patient and guest areas also will be renovated.

The multimillion-dollar project is slated for completion in fourth quarter 2021.
