UMPC Children’s Hospital Of Pittsburgh Prepares To Break Ground On Pediatric Heart Institute

HGA Architects is partnering on the programming, planning, and design of the 50,000-square foot, project in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania.

UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh) expects to begin construction on its new pediatric heart institute in Lawrenceville, Pa.

The 50,000-square foot, three-story facility will include cardiac catheterization labs, an interoperative MRI, inpatient and outpatient services, and conference center.

HGA Architects (Milwaukee), in collaboration with the UPMC construction team, is leading the programming, planning, and design of the project. The project team also includes Allen and Sharrif (MEP; Pittsburgh); Barber Hoffman (structural engineer; Cleveland;), and DRS (local architecture partner; Pittsburgh).

Construction is scheduled to be completed in early 2026.
