The work at the hospital follows a major expansion project at Lake Regional Clinic – Eldon.

The contract value is more than €600 million.

The plan centers on increased capacity for private rooms, parking, critical care, obstetrics, interventional cardiology, imaging and surgery.

Healthcare developer Hplex Solutions Inc. is leasing 3.4 acres from Mount Carmel Health System near the southwest corner of its 66-acre campus.

The 60,000-square-foot facility will include a 10-bed inpatient hospital, a lab, a 14-bed emergency room, as well as physician practices and office space.

The 210,000-square-foot hospital has more than 50 inpatient beds and room to grow.

With the new space, Lake Regional is adding several specialists and opening a retail pharmacy while continuing to provide family medicine, pediatrics, Express Care and rehabilitation therapies.

The expansion will add more than 137,000 square feet of new construction and 50,000 square feet of newly renovated space to Hannibal Regional.

St. Luke’s Care Now–Quakertown provides treatment when a patient’s family doctor is unavailable, or when a patient’s injury or illness requires immediate attention, but is not an acute emergency.

The 39,800-square-foot medical office building will house primary, specialty and behavioral care services.
