$1B Highland Park Miami Project To Expand Medical District In Miami, Florida
Highland Park Miami
Highland Park Miami, a $1 billion, multiphase project, aims to expand Miami’s Medical District with 500,000 square feet of medical office space.
Situated on 7 acres, the mixed-use development will also feature 1,130 multifamily units, a hotel, and wellness-oriented retail and restaurants.
The medical district is already home to Jackson Memorial Hospital, the University of Miami’s Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, and the Miami VA Healthcare System.
Construction on the project is expected to begin in fourth quarter 2024, with completion slated for the end of 2026.
Developers Black Salmon (Miami, Fla.) and real estate firm The Allen Morris Company (Miami) have been planning Highland Park Miami for the past decade, visiting and gathering insight from major medical hubs in the United States, including the Mayo Clinic Health District (Rochester, Minn.).
The project team for Highland Park Miami includes Arquitectonica, a Miami-based international architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and urban planning firm; and Naturalficial, a landscape architecture and design practice also based in Miami.
