Calderdale Royal Hospital To Begin Expansion In Halifax, Nova Scotia

The project is expected to more than double the hospital’s size with a new ED.

Calderdale Royal Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is set to begin construction later this year on an expansion that will more than double the size of its campus, according to the Halifax Courier.

The project comprises a new emergency department (ED) with a dedicated children’s ED and eight patient wards. It’s expected to be completed in 2029.

A new parking garage is also scheduled to be completed this fall, expanding parking spaces on campus to approximately 800.
