Connecticut Children’s Hospital Plans Pediatric Behavioral Health Unit

The hospital needs approval for a CON before moving forward on the project in Hartford, Conn.

Connecticut Children’s Hospital in Hartford, Conn., is seeking to add a new medical psychiatric unit to treat children with physical and psychiatric ailments, according to an article in the Hartford Courant.

To move forward with the plan, Connecticut Children’s will seek approval for a certificate of need (CON).

The project is scheduled to open in 14-18 months.
