COVID-19 Alternate Care Site Opens In Texas

Part of the El Paso Convention and Performing Arts Center will serve as a care site for low- and medium-acuity patients.

An alternate care site has opened at the El Paso Convention and Performing Arts Center (El Paso, Texas) to expand hospital capacity as the region deals with a surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations, according to an article in WFAA.com.

The project offers 50 low- to medium-acuity beds and has the capacity to expand to add another 50 beds if needed. Medical equipment and personnel are also available to assist with a COVID-19 surge.
