Great Falls Clinic Hospital in Great Falls, Mont., is planning to expand its 19-inpatient bed hospital with a $58 million project that will add 58,800 square feet to the existing facility, bringing the total footprint to 117,800 square feet.

Phase one, scheduled for completion in August 2023, will see construction of the new hospital tower for a Cath lab suite, 10-bed intensive care unit, and procedural space. The second floor will include an 18-bed inpatient medical/surgical unit and the upper floor will house administrative offices and shell space for 18 inpatient beds.

Phase two includes expanding the hospital’s existing west wing, which will include a new high complexity laboratory, pharmacy space, expanded sterile processing, and two operating rooms. This phase of the project is scheduled for completion in January 2024 and will be followed by interior renovations in clinical spaces and updates to the cafeteria, central supply, emergency department, and support services.
