Gundersen Health System (La Crosse, Wis.) completed construction on Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall, Wis., with imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, surgical, dietary, rehabilitation, and transitional care services.

The two-story, 68,000-square-foot hospital replaces a 1960s-era facility and houses 31 private patient rooms, an emergency department (ED), trauma center, and a helipad. A new ambulance and maintenance building were also built on the site.

A 17,000-square-foot remodel of an existing clinic was also completed on the hospital campus.

The project team includes Groth Design Group (architect and interior designer; Cedarburg, Wis.) and Kraus-Anderson (general contractor; Milwaukee).
